About Dinked

Dinked is coordinated alongside our own businesses day-to-day by Resident and Drift, and in the last four years we have sold over 100,000 records across the 200 Dinked Editions from artists as diverse as: Cate Le Bon, Dry Cleaning, Crack Cloud, Moses Boyd, Kurt Vile, The Weather Station, A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Tim Burgess, Hannah Peel, Tricky, Mary Lattimore, Kelly Lee Owens, Juniore, Lambchop, Claud, White Flowers, For Those I Love, Teenage Fanclub, Black Honey, Snapped Ankles, Portico Quartet, Moon Duo, The Coral, Erland Cooper and Weyes Blood. No genre boundaries. Just a solid collection of releases curated by a set of spirited, die-hard indie record shops.

Dinked has kept growing and finding new friends because of the unity of the shops and the passion put into each highly-desirable release.

As independent record shops, we all operate entirely individually. This has many advantages in that we all offer a completely different experience, range of stock, atmosphere and set of knowledge. We’re not governed by politics and don’t answer to investors, so we’re able to remain true and authentic. With Dinked, we wanted to establish something that allows us to work together more as a united front, celebrating our strengths and differences whilst connecting and bonding us for a common cause.
